i am Peter's reed
tossed to and fro by the waters
i am Peter's sinking feet
trying my tender faith on surging waters
if it is you bid me come

This is the most touching piece I have read in a long time, it's nothing like what I was expecting. It's beautiful and so true. I seek no other, but God himself!

ReplyDeleteHow true this is even for believers today. Sometimes our natural inclinations are just in divergence to what Jesus is saying to us. He says faith, yet we entertain fear. He says watch and pray, yet we sleep off. He says abundance, we see lack. He says courage, but we tremble.
But the same Peter, after receiving the Holy Spirit became emboldened. I seek no other!
